Day 1: Nairobi Kenya-Amboseli (250km-Approx.4hrs)

Your expert driver/guide from Randu Kenya Safaris will pick you up at 7:00 am from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport for the drive along the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway. Along our route, we’ll enjoy the early morning African savanna with possible sightings of Maasai villagers herding their cattle.

Amboseli National Park is not a large park but is still considered the land of the giants. These giants are the immense herds of elephants that inhabit its plains. Amboseli is famous for being the best spot in Africa for viewing free-ranging elephants up close. Their numbers are so concentrated here you’re guaranteed sightings of the magnificent creatures.

Great herds roam its plains in the morning and evening. And you’re sure to see them during the day, foraging in the marshes. But you’re certain to have sightings of other wildlife as well. The park holds good-sized populations of lion, leopard, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and gazelle.

Don’t be surprised to spot plenty of smaller mammals on your game drives – foxes, jackals, monkeys and yellow baboons!

Dinner and Overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 2 : Amboseli-Tsavo West (100km-Approx.3hrs)

After breakfast we’ll continue our adventure with another game drive and perhaps (weather permitting) sightings of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. This towering massif is a stunning backdrop to the wildlife in the park – a gift to visitors and photographers alike.

We will also venture up to the vantage point of Observation Hill for views of the park’s plains, marshes and the wildlife inhabiting them.

If you’d like to learn about the local Maasai people, we offer an optional visit to a nearby village where you can meet them, learn about their unique herding culture, and perhaps purchase some of their colorful crafts.

Now it’s time to move on to our other park, Tsavo West.

There are so many pleasing aspects to this famous park – the variety of landscapes, the colors of desert and sky, and the many species of animals roaming its hills and oases.
